Houston Police Chief and City Mayor Inducted Into CHS Alumni Hall of Honor

Center High School Alumni have officiallly inducted Houston Police Chief Charles A. McClelland Jr. and Center Mayor David Chadwick into the Center Alumni Association Hall of Honor.

 

McClelland graduated from Center High School in 1973 and has been with the Police Department in Houston for 36 years, becoming Police Chief three years ago.  He is the first African-American inducted into the organization.

 

Mayor Chadwick graduated from Center High School in 1965 and has been a resident of Center all of that time with the exception of time spent at Baylor University.  He is currently President of Farmers State Bank and a 25-year member of the Center City Council,becoming Mayor two years ago.

 

CBC will air highlights of the ceremony in newscasts to come.
