The Shelby County Commmissioners Court has voted 3-2 to approve the proposed fiscal year 2013-2014 budget and tax rate of sixty cents per one hundred dollars worth of property value.  

Two votes were taken ; one on the budget and one on the tax rate, which reflects a two cent increase over last year.

County Judge Rick Campbell voted along with County Commissioners Travis Rodgers and Bradley Allen in voting in favor of both items.  Commissioners Roscoe McSwain and Jimmy Lout voted against.
