Timpson officials say two earthquakes that hit the area yesterday evening did little , if any damge.  Police Officer Adam Renfro says there were reports of pictures falling off walls and homes shaking for anywhere from 15-30 seconds, but no major structural damage or injuries were reported.

The first earthquake occurred just before five and registered 4.1 on the Richter scale and the second one occurred two hours later and registered 4.3.

Both earthquakes occurred WNW of the city of Timpson.

According to the US Geological Survey, yesterday's quakes bring the total of earthquakes to hit the Timpson area to 12 since May of 2012.

The last earthquake to hit the area was January 31st and registered at 2.7.  The incident which registered highest on the Richter scale was the one that occurred May 17th, 2012 which was 4.8 on the scale.
