Shelby County Sherriff officials confirm a 77-year-old Timpson man is dead after deputies and the man’s family found him lying unresponsive on the floor of his residence with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.  Deputies say the Lee Roy Castleberry’s family gained access to his residence after he failed to come to the door when they knocked on it last night a little after 6 on FM 415 in Timpson.  Justice of the Peace Jim Powers pronounced Castleberry dead at the scene.  An autopsy is being conducted by Forensic Medical of Tyler.
