Center City Manager Chad Nehring says the latest draft of the proposed 2013-2014 budget shows revenues over expenditures in the general fund in the amount of $26,000. He says the draft, at this point, includes a flat tax rate and no cost-of-living increase for employees. He pointed out that a lot of things can change once property appraisal figures are released and did not rule out the possiblity of still trying to provide at least hourly employees with a cost-of-living increase in the middle of the fiscal year if not at the beginning of it. Nehring made the comments at a budget workshop at last nights city council meeting.
