HoopInsider’s basketball polls are out for the week and there’s been some moving around among area ranked teams. In Class A, Div. I, San Augustine dropped to No. 6, down from No. 2 last week. Meanwhile, Tenaha is now No. 5. Broaddus is No. 7 and Grapeland remains No 1.

In the Class A, Div. II poll, there’s little change, as Roxton remains No. 1, and Laneville No. 2. Chireno is No. 4 and Douglass No. 6. The Class 2A poll is headed up by Kountze at No. 1, and White Oak and Tatum, 3 and 4 respectively, and Crockett is No. 7.  In 3A, Princeton is the top team.

In high school basketball action Monday, Central Heights beats San Augustine, 62- 56; and Broaddus over Slocum, 51- 44.
