It’s the start of the Texas High School Football Championship Weekend in Arlington, and first up today is the Class A, Div. II title game, featuring the 10-4 defending state champion Tenaha Tigers against the 14-0 Munday Moguls. Kick- off is 12 noon at Cowboys Stadium. It’s the second straight year Tenaha has faced Munday for the championship. The Tigers took a 51-28 win last year. The Tenaha-Munday game is followed by Mart vs. Stamford at 4 p.m. for the 1A, Div. I championship; and the Class 2A, Div. II title game with Corsicana Mildred taking on East Bernard at 8 p.m. tonight.

 

The Tenaha game will be broadcast live on both Dish and DirectTV today on Fox Sports Southwest. For Dish subscribers the channel is 416 and for DirectTV the channel is 676. Also, if you happen to have Sudden-Link Cable, that’s channel 29.

 

Friday’s state championships include: the 2A, Div. I game at noon between 12-3 Daingerfield and 14-0 Cameron Yoe; Class 3A, Div. II contest at 4 p.m. with 13-1 Gilmer against15-0 Navasota; and the Class 4A, Div. II title game at 8 p.m. with 14-1 Lancaster vs. 13-2 Cedar Park.
