As another follow up to a story we’ve covered previously this week, the Texas School Safety Center is saying the Timpson ISD should not have been on the list of school districts that had not submitted an audit. According to Joseph McKenna, law enforcement, homeland security and research services specialist at the safety center, Timpson ISD sent in the audit before the deadline, but gave incorrect information on two questions which caused the audit to be placed on a list of districts that were out of compliance. McKenna said Timpson ISD will be able to resubmit the audit with corrected answers. Timpson ISD Superintendent, Dr. Mid Johnson said the district’s audit is on file and may be viewed by the public.
