We reported a story this morning concerning the exumation of Danny Akridge along with autopsy information that was based on a press release from the Shelby County Sherrifs Department  However, up to date information has revealed that the autopsy results reported were from the intial autopsy.  The results of the first autopsy were received on November 27th from Forensic  Medical Services Management in Tyler.  While the preliminary results indicated the cause of death was Methamphetamine toxicity complicated by gastrointestinal hemorrhage, the results of a second autopsy are still pending.  All evidence and investigation is being handled by the Shelby County District Attorney's Office.  Again, results of a second autopsy are still pending.  We would like to apologize for any incovenience this has caused the Akridge family.
