Drowning Victim Identified

 

 

 

 

According to the Panola County Sheriff's Office a person drowned in lake Murvaul this past weekend on the evening of Saturday, June 15, 2019. The victim has been identified by Garrison funeral home as Brandon Lee Tenison 18 of Garrison. His obituary is below.

Brandon Lee Tenison, 18, of Garrison, Texas passed away on June 15, 2019.  Born October 19, 2000.  Brandon is the son of Kevin and Kendra (Driscoll) Tenison.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 6PM-8PM at Garrison Funeral Home, Garrison, Texas.  Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 2PM at First Baptist Church, 276 W Magnolia Ave., Garrison, Texas with Bro. Jack Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in McKnight Cemetery, Cushing, Texas. 

 

Brandon grew up in Garrison and was a Senior at Garrison High School where he was full of Bulldog Pride. An avid football player, being under those Friday night lights and wearing #34 was one of his greatest passions. His love for the game was evident in every down he played. Brandon also really enjoyed spending time outdoors. Much of his spare time was spent hunting and fishing. Even though he was only 18, Brandon was a skilled welder. He had always been fond of tinkering with things and learning such a trade as welding allowed him to put skill and intrigue to work.  

 

Brandon had an energy that radiated onto others and would overflow any room with joy and laughter. He breathed life into his friends, family and those he barely even knew. Brandon had such a warm and welcoming personality that he never met a stranger. He was always selfless and ready to lend a helping hand whenever the occasion was to arise. His enthusiasm and light will shine long after he is gone in the innumerable memories that his family, friends and classmates will treasure for eternity.  

 

Brandon is survived by his parents, Kevin Tenison and wife Kendra of Garrison, Texas; brothers, Dillon Dewayne Tenison of Garrison, Dustin James Driscoll and wife Amy of Odessa;  nephew, Milo James Driscoll of Odessa; grandparents, Joyce L. Tenison of Garrison, Texas, Ronda Taylor and husband James of Hobbs, New Mexico, Mike Driscoll and wife Cheri of Somerset, Kentucky, Dewayne Hough and wife Sharon of Timpson, Texas; uncles, Michael Bain of Oklahoma, Robert Lipke and wife Lindsey of Somerset, Kentucky, Joshua Taylor of Arizona; aunts, Chelsea Sims and husband Darryl of Center, Texas, Tammy Adams and husband Richard of Garrison, Texas, Charlotte Howard of Garrison, Texas, Donna Manning and husband Michael Williams of Jacksonville, Texas, Desiree Taylor of Arizona, Katherine Taylor of Arizona, Brandy Best and husband James of Henderson; great-aunt, Laurie Caryl of Garrison; special family friends, Ricky Colle and wife Sissy of Garrison, Tommy Clark and wife Lisa of Garrison; cousins, Clinton Newman, Kody Newman, Jason Newman, Ashley Sims, Keith Benson and wife Laura, Corey Knight, Davin Adams, Nicklaus Adams, Lany Adams, Emma Adams, Abby Adams, Kaydean Knight, Elijah Williams, Cailynn Williams, Gary Michael Steiner, Anthony Steiner, Gage Sims, Kiylee Sims, Lexi Lipke, Kaeli Parker, Paisley Best; and other extended family members that will miss him dearly.
