The Shreveport City Council will vote today on a proposal to redraw some of its seven districts, and it wants a large showing of citizens to show up and give their input. The hearing is set to start at 3 p.m. in Government Chambers at Government Plaza. The Council is required to redraw its districts every 10 years based upon U.S. Census information. According to the resolution, the districts must be arranged in a "logical geographic pattern" and be as close to the pattern of districts that existed before any revision.
