Center Fire Department Respond to RV Fire

On May 15, 2019, at approximately 11:30 a.m. the Center Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a residence located at 2067 FM 2468 and belonging to a Mr. Bobby Adams. The Center Fire Chief Keith Byndom would like to inform the public that this is a different Bobby Adams than the one who works for the Center Fire Department.

The Center Fire Department arrived on the scene to find a boat and two RV's on fire. One of the RV's sustained major damage, while the other received minor damage. According to the Center Fire Chief Keith Byndom, the apparent cause of the fire stemmed from an individual that was working on the boat and during the process of fueling it, an accident occurred that ignited the boat and the flames then spread to the RV's catching them on fire as well.

The Center Fire Department responded quickly and had both of the RV's put out within about 20 minutes of arriving on the scene. There was an individual who received minor burns but no major injuries or fatalities occurred due to the blaze.
