Willis Blackwell – 4,642 won by 88 votes
Shelby County D.A.: (I) Kenneth Florence – 4,842
Stephen Shires – 4,181
Dist. Judge 123rd Judicial District : Includes Shelby and Panola Counties
Incumbent Guy Griffin – loses to challenger Charles “Brick” Dickerson, 9,275 to 9,652. Griffin outpolled Dickerson in Shelby County, taking 56% of the vote. However, Dickerson’s home county of Panola gave the challenger the votes to win.
