SHELBY COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated a one-vehicle crash on Jan. 2, 2019, on US 59, about one-half mile north of FM 2667.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 1 p.m., a 2014 Dodge pickup was traveling north on US 59 when the pickup drove off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

 

The driver of the pickup is identified as 44-year-old Dale Gaura, from Bossier City, LA. Gaura and a nine-year-old passenger were transported to a Nacogdoches hospital for treatment. Two other passengers were not reportedly injured during the crash.

 

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
