Deadly Crash Pedestrian Killed

 

 

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated an auto-pedestrian crash last night Dec. 19, 2018, on US 259, about two and a half miles north of Nacogdoches.


The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 8:10 p.m., a 2002 Ford pickup was traveling south on US 259 and struck a pedestrian that was walking in the southbound lane. After the initial crash the pedestrian was struck a second time by a 2013 Dodge passenger car.
The driver of the Ford is identified as 26-year-old Colton Ward from Garrison, TX. Ward was not reportedly injured during the crash.

 

The driver of the Dodge passenger car is identified as 21-year-old Alyssa Bell, from Nacogdoches, TX. The pedestrian was identified as 18-year-old Amanda Aguilar, from Nacogdoches. Aguilar was transported to Nacogdoches Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

 

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
