Further information obtained on scene led to the led officers to a consensual search by the occupant of the residence and surrounding property. During the search, Juan Tramaine Tutt was found hiding in a closet in the residence. Tutt had multiple warrants out of Shelby County and was taken into custody without incident.

During the search in the closet area, approximately 2 ¼ ounces of marijuana was located. Officers also recovered eight ounces of suspected methamphetamine. Tutt also had $1,100 in cash that is believed to be derived from the sale of illegal narcotics. Seizure paperwork will be filed on the money.

At the time Byrd was booked into the county jail; additional illegal narcotics were found on his person. A warrant for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility (F-3) was obtained and served on Byrd.

Multiple warrants are forthcoming for Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance as well as other charges on multiple individuals.

The SCSO extends sincere thanks to the Texas Department of Public Safety for their assistance.
