TxDOT Update

As of 6:30 am this morning, all roads are open in the Lufkin District except for FM 1280 at Little White Rock and Gayle Creek in Trinity County. We will continue to monitor problematic areas throughout the week with the possibility of continued rain and rising rivers.

FYI - There were a total of 141 roadway sections in Texas affected by high water in the TxDOT Districts of Paris, Wichita Falls, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Lubbock, Abilene, Austin, Waco, Brownwood, Lufkin, San Antonio, Bryan, San Angelo, Odessa, Corpus Christi and Laredo. Eighty-eight of those roadway sections are still closed this morning. This information is accessible to the public at drivetexas.org. This is a living website that changes throughout the day, especially during weather events or roadway emergencies.

I will keep you updated as things progress through the rest of the week and into the weekend if we have any further local issues. Thank you all for your support of our effort to keep the driving public safe and provide a reliable transportation system to Texas.
