Mr. Larry Hume Post Quartermaster with the local VFW Post 8904 attended the Shelby County Historical Society meeting and gave a special presentation about World War I today 10-16-18 at the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street in Center, TX. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI, Mr. Hume collected the stories of many different Shelby County Veterans that served in WWI both their time in the service and what unfolded in their lives after leaving the military. He shared with the group several different stories and not only men served in the military in WWI but so did many women also.
