SABINE COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated this morning 9-18-18 a two-vehicle crash on SH 103 and FM 1.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 7:15 a.m., a 2008 Mack dump truck was stopped facing east in the left turn lane on SH 103 waiting to turn left onto FM 1 when a 2000 Jeep reportedly failed to control speed and struck the dump truck from behind.

The driver of the Mack is identified as 51-year-old Michael Wilkerson from San Augustine. 

The driver of the Jeep is identified as Dustin Greer, 29, from Huntington. Greer was transported to the Sabine County Hospital with unknown injuries.

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
