Alvin Jerome Davis II stole a vehicle in Shelby County from Center, TX this past Sunday evening 7-8-18.  According to DeSoto Parish Sheriff Jayson Richardson, Davis fled to Mansfield, LA after allegedly being involved in a sexual assault.

Once in Mansfield Davis invaded two homes and ending up running away on foot.  Law enforcement began to chase after him in the city of Mansfield.  During the investigation the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's office received a call of a stalled Semi-Truck and trailer in the roadway.  Once Deputies arrived at the truck and tried to talk to the driver he fled the scene in the Semi-Truck with a trailer in tow.

The driver later identified as Davis traveled north bound in the sound bound lanes on Interstate 49.  Multiple times spikes where deployed to stop the vehicle, eventually Davis exited the Interstate and the Truck he was driving came to rest in a residential area on a dead end street.

After approximately 30 minutes of negotiation between him and law enforcement, officers used multiple different non-lethal ammo along with gas.  Davis finally exited the vehicle and began to run away on foot before being caught by a K9.  Davis is currently in custody at the Caddo Detention Center.
