Sheriff Jayson Richardson would like to announce that the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office has officially completed the 2nd annual youth summer camp on June 19th and 20th!  The Amazing Race Camp for youth ages 8-13 was hosted at Clara Springs Baptist Encampment in Pelican, LA.  Students enjoyed fun activities such as kayaking, archery, rock wall climbing, and much more including a ride on the HydraTrek, our amphibious vehicle.  Sheriff Richardson would like to thank the staff at Clara Springs for their help and hospitality, and our guest speaker Mr. Richard Fuller for his wonderful presentation and puppet show.  We look forward to seeing everyone back again next summer!   Check out more great photos from The Amazing Race II summer camp on our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/desoto.dept
