NACOGDOCHES COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) are currently investigating a two vehicle crash on SH 103 near Etoile involving two overturned vehicles.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 10 a.m., a 2018 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling east on SH 103. A westbound 2011 Chevrolet passenger car drove over into the eastbound lane and struck the Freightliner, causing both vehicles to overturn.

 

The driver of the commercial vehicle is identified as John Morgan, 57, from Etoile.  Morgan reportedly refused treatment at the scene.

 

The driver of the Chevrolet is identified as Favian Cordero, 20, from Lufkin.  Cordero was transported to a Nacogdoches Hospital for treatment.  Motorists are urged to use caution in this area as first responders work to clear the scene.
