Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell reports the arrest of two suspects in connection to a string of car burglaries that occurred in multiple counties, including Shelby County, in early February.
On Feb. 16 the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) was notified that officers from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) had recovered a camera from a pawn shop in Lufkin that was reported stolen from a vehicle burglary that occurred in Nacogdoches. The camera was pawned by Kendrick Davis, 23, of Lufkin.

Digital images recovered from the camera led officers to identify two additional suspects as Debriyonia Miller and Jamarcus Suell. NCSO officers went to the residence of Miller and Suell and recovered an amplifier and speaker that was stolen from Shelby County.

SCSO Investigators interviewed Suell, Miller and Davis at the NCSO. Suell admitted to driving the vehicle used during the vehicle burglaries. Suell also admitted to knowingly being in possession of the stolen amplifier and speaker. Miller told investigators that the vehicle used in the burglaries belonged to her and that she allowed Suell use of the vehicle. Davis stated to investigators that he sold the camera for Suell.

Davis and Suell are currently being held at the NCSO on charges related to other vehicle burglaries.

Davis, Suell and Miller currently have active warrants out of Shelby County for Engaging Organized Criminal Activity (SJF).

The SCSO would like to thank the NCSO for their assistance with this case.
