TxDOT UPDATE

 

LUFKIN - Two new construction projects located in three Lufkin District counties are beginning this week and next week in Nacogdoches, Shelby and Sabine counties that are scheduled to upgrade guardrail to design standards.
 
A $1.1 million project is beginning this week on SH 87 in Shelby County that will include upgrading metal beam guardrail to current design standards and upgrading drainage structures from SH 7 in Center to SH 147. A section of FM 83 in Sabine County is included in the project and will include safety treating fixed objects and upgrading guardrail from the San Augustine County line to FM 1 in Pineland. AR Brothers Construction, San Augustine, will serve as contractor for the project.
 
A $597,891 construction project is scheduled to begin next week that is designed to improve metal beam guardrail to design standards on SH 7 in Nacogdoches County from the Angelina County line to Business 59 in Nacogdoches. Included in the work will be a section of SH 103 in Nacogdoches County that will be from the Angelina County line to the San Augustine County line. 3LW Civil LLC, Mason, will serve as contractor for the project.
