I am Melissa Crouch candidate for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1 in Shelby County.  Shelby County has been my home many years.  I am the daughter of the late Maurice and Melba Crouch.  I am married to Roger Burton, we have four grown children and six wonderful grandchildren. 

 

I have experience within the Justice of the Peace office, appointed by the commissioner Court July 17,2017 when the Honorable Judge Maxie Eaves retired.  I have attended Justice Court training in Austin, TX. Three stages are required and I have completed the first stage and will be leaving on 1/7/18 for the second stage. 

 

I strive to handle all my duties in a very professional manner.  I will work hard to have a well-balanced relationship within this office, and work hard for the people of Pct. 1.  I know that this is not an eight to five job, it is twenty-four hours, seven days a week, and I will be there when called or needed.
