Weather Update

Yes, we did get snow across a large portion of Texas. Yes, we did get cold
all across Texas. Here in San Augustine it ranged from nothing to the North
to a couple of inches in the Southern part of the County. *

*Below is the PWS tracking of the cold & moisture from the  yesterday's
event here in San Augustine County:*

- *Goeff Reeder in the North: December 8th: 22.5 degrees, 19 dew point,
   39% humidity and 0 moisture*

- *Norman Neel in the North: registered  24.7degrees an 0 moisture*

 - *Here in San Augustine: 23.1 degrees with a dew point of 19.3,
   humidity 48%, only .03 moisture. *

- *Swanson Hill in Mid SA County: 25.3 degrees, 56% humidity and.09
   moisture*

 - *Broaddus in the **Southern part of the County: is out of service *

*Low-latitude snow lovers rejoiced while others groaned Thursday and
Friday, as a narrow stripe of snowfall produced larger-than-expected
amounts from far western and southern Texas into parts of the Deep South.
Ironically, the dryness of the air feeding into the cold side of this
system may have helped it to produce as much snow as it did so far South.
