Shelby County Commissioner's Court Meeting Results

 
 
The Shelby County Commissioners Court met today 11-27-17 at the active Shelby County Court House.  The meeting started with Justin Mott from Center broadcasting saying the prayer, followed by the pledges to the U.S and Texas Flags.  Below are the results from today's meeting.
 
1. They approved and paid the weekly expenses.
 
2. No public comments were made on agenda items.
 
3. The court tabled the disussion on purchasing dashcams for the Constables.
 
4. No action was taken on creating a part-time internship for the District Attorney's office.
  
5. No action was taken on mounting televisions in the district courtrooms.
 
6. No action was taken on the drug court fund.  No action was taken on items 4 through 6 because they all involved District Attorney Steven Shires who was absent from today's court meeting.
 
7. The court approved the additional bond requirements for judges issued by the legislature.
 
8. Shane Barton from Safeco presented security system information for security systems that could possibly be used in the court.
 
9. The Court approved the use of the security system in the active courthouse.
 
10. The Court approved the use of the security system in the historical courthouse.
 
11. The Court adjourned.
