Our latest weather call this morning with the National Weather Service indicated they are now expecting a higher storm surge along the Gulf, more rainfall and possibly an upgrade to a Catergory 1 or even a Category 2 hurricane as it makes landfall. The problem will be once it does, they are expecting it will stall and move very slowly. That could  mean a lot of rain for Southeast and Deep East Texas. TxDOT began preparing for this weather event yesterday here in our own district and we are also supplying manpower to aid the southern districts in their efforts.
