At approximately 5:58 p.m. on Tuesday, Deputy Sheriff Lester Pitts discovered a black 2001 Ford Expedition that had been abandoned.  The abandoned vehicle was parked behind a residence in Center. Upon further investigation, Deputy Pitts was notified that the abandoned vehicle had been reported stolen from Nacogdoches County by the owner.  While the vehicle has been returned to it's owner, authorities are still investigating various items removed from the stolen vehicle.
