THRILLER!  Tigers Advance to 11th Regional in 14 years

A motivated rival and a difficult night of shooting was not enough to keep the young Tenaha Tigers away from the Regional Tournament in Leon this weekend.  The Tigers “willed” their way back from a twelve point deficit to overcome a tough San Augustine Wolves team that had gained late season momentum after starting district play 2-4.  The Wolves were hot from the field most of the night while the Tigers, who normally hit anywhere from 8-12 three point shots per game, were held to just two makes from beyond the arc until the final three minutes.  In the end the Tigers surged to a 74-70 win and will advance to Leon HS for the Regional Tournament for the third straight year and it will be Tenaha’s fourth straight Regional appearance and the 11th in the last 14 years.  Amazing.

Make no mistake Tiger Fans!  You had a huge impact in last night’s comeback win.  Great job keeping the faith and making some noise to spur our boys along!!! Keep it up!  We will need the whole army in Leon. 

 

Tigers to Face Italy in Region Semis

Tenaha will take on Italy in the Region Semi-final Friday night at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.  Stay tuned to the Tiger Alert for information about fan buses and game information.

GAME TIME:  FRIDAY, March 3, 2017 AT 7:30 pm

FAN INFORMATION:

LOCATION: Leon High School, Jewett, Texas

PRICE: $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for students includes roundtrip for one person and admission into the game.  Meals are not included in the ticket price.

TIMES:  Charter Bus will leave @ 3:30 pm sharp from the Tiger parking lot. The bus will return immediately following the game.  The return trip is non-stop also.

BUS TICKETS:  To purchase a seat on the charter bus, see Regina Tovar in the High School Office.  Your seat is reserved when payment is received.  Only 54 seats available. 

ALL STUDENTS/CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.  STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 MAY RIDE THE FAN BUS WITHOUT AN ADULT. 

**If the Tigers win they will play Saturday at 12 pm.  A fan bus will be provided.  Tickets for the fan bus Saturday will be $20 for adults and $15.00 for students (includes admission to game) on a first come first serve basis on site.  The bus will depart from Tiger parking lot at 8:30 am. Tickets will be on sale Saturday morning at 8 am in the high school office.  The bus will return to Tenaha immediately following the game.  Both trips will be non-stop.
