Congratulations to the City of Nacogdoches, Texas for being selected as the Texas Arbor Day 2016 host city. Noting their rich history in forestry and designation as a Tree City USA, Texas A&M Forest Service, the Texas Forestry Association and the Texas Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture selected the City of Nacogdoches. Also known as the Garden Capital of Texas, the City of Nacogdoches receives this honor as they are celebrating their 300th birthday as the Oldest Town in Texas.
