On June 10 at approximately 5 p.m., Nacogdoches

DPS troopers responded to a two vehicle crash involving two 2009 Chevrolet pickups

on US 259 about one mile North of Central Heights. The preliminary crash

investigation indicates the southbound 2009 Chevrolet truck drove over into the

northbound inside lane of US 259 and struck the second 2009 Chevrolet head-on.

The driver of the southbound Chevrolet was identified as Alberto Rodriguez

Pinones, 64, from Kilgore, TX. The driver of the northbound Chevrolet was

identified as Claudia Ibarra Olvera, 25, from Cushing, TX. Pinones was

transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for treatment. Olvera was

transported to ETMC-Tyler by life flight and is reportedly in stable condition. This

crash remains under investigation.
