Mrs. Lynn Silvey was selected as Teacher of the Year by Shelby County

Memorial VFW Post 8904 and was also the VFW District 19 first place winner.

She received her awards from Post Commander Gene Hutto at the Memorial Day

program held, Monday, May 30th at the First United Methodist Church.  Mrs.

Silvey teaches HS English Arts at Joaquin High School.
