CLINE FAMILY MEDICINE PRESENTS
9TH ANNUAL HEALTH AND FITNESS FAIR 
THURSDAY, MARCH 31
 
 
The Healthcare committee of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 9th Annual Health and Fitness Fair, sponsored by Cline Family Medicine, Thursday, March 31 at the Windham Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  The fair is free to the public featuring over 35 vendors with give aways and door prizes.  Cline Family Medicine is the presenting sponsor of this year’s event along with gold sponsors Luquette Chiropractic and Nacogdoches Medical Center.  Vendors will be providing health screenings which includes glucose, cholesterol, spinal screenings, heart awareness, bone density, blood typing and vision. Information will be provided on home health, nursing homes, hospice, nutrition, allergy immunotherapy, diabetes and caregiver relief.  
 
In addition, a mobile mammogram unit will be at the fair.  All mammogram appointments must be made prior to March 24 by calling Daphne at 936-598-7744.  There is a charge for the mammograms and financial assistance is available. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on site with a blood mobile taking donations, to sign up to donate please contact Shelby County Chamber of Commerce at 936-598-3682.
 
This year the fair will feature two guest speakers, Dr. Dan Wilkins, Wilkins Counseling, will present information on “The Mind Body Connection” at 10:30 a.m. and Shannon Lutmer of Hospice of East Texas, will have a presentation on “People With Alzheimer’s and Dementia” at 1:00  p.m. in room A in the Civic Center. 
 
Dr. Dan Wilkins, PhD, is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist. He has a Masters degree in Counseling and Guidance and a PhD in clinical psychology.  He has been in private practice for 41 years.  Dr. Wilkins specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual dysfunction, and personal growth.  His practice is limited to teenagers and adults.
 
Shannon Lutmer has a Masters in Early Childhood, was a licensed vocational nurse, has Chaplain training and has taken several classes and seminars for dementia.  She works with dementia patients at late and end stage as a volunteer at Hospice of East Texas.  She also provides in-service training for care giving staff at memory care and assisted living facilities.
