TES Book Fair – Mrs. Teresa Osby reports that the Timpson Elementary School book fair raised $3,380 last week.  The purpose of the book fair is to encourage students to read and to raise money so that additional books and supplies can be purchased for the library.  The TES library is a popular place for elementary school students who enjoy getting to check out books to carry home to read.  We appreciate all the students, parents and community members who helped make the book fair such a success.

 

Lindgren DAR Recipient - Bethany Lindgren was chosen as the Timpson High School DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Good Citizen recipient.  Bethany and other recipients from across Shelby and Nacogdoches Counties were honored and recognized during the DAR luncheon.  The luncheon was hosted by DAR members and held in the SFA Twilight Ballroom.  Bethany was accompanied by her English IV teacher, Donna Lack, high school counselor Charlotte Metcalf, and Bethany's former English teacher, Pat Crawford.  Congratulations Bethany. We are proud of you!
