The Mansfield Middle School was placed on lock down immediately following an
armed robbery at Verizon Wireless due to the location of the crime in
proximity to the school. The exterior of the school will remain on lock
down for the remainder of the day, however the students on the interior of
the school are no longer on lock down. Concerned parents should know that
children were not in immediate danger and again the school was placed on
lock down following coordination between the agencies involved in the search
and the school staff and administration. Please feel free to share this
status to update parents of children that may be attending the school.
