DECEASED NAME FOR NEWS: Bobbie Campbell

 

Bobbie Campbell, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2015, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Kerry Green and Rev. R.L. Wedgeworth officiating.  Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery in Huxley.

 

Mrs. Campbell was born October 9, 1941, in Shelby County, to Lynn English and Bernice Payne English.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  Mrs. Campbell was also well known for the delicious meals that she prepared. Above all, she loved any time that was spent with her family and friends. She was a member of Dreka Pentecostal Church.

 

She is survived by

Husband: Crit Campbell of Shelbyville

 

Sons:

Jimmy Campbell and wife, Ellen, of Clute

Lloyd Campbell and wife, Pat, of Angleton

Pete Campbell and wife, Connie, of Sweeny

 

Sisters:

Vernell English of Nacogdoches

Judy English of Orange

 

9 Grandchildren

 

21 Great Grand Children

 

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

 

Preceded in death by

Parents: Lynn English and Bernice Payne English

Sisters: Johnnie Wilburn, Ara Belle Anthony

 

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Campbell, Lloyd Campbell, Pete Campbell, Steven Campbell, Clint McKnight, Jeffery Wilburn and Gus Vela.

 

A special thanks to two of her nieces, Sandy Vega and Loretta Daniels, along with one granddaughter, Rebecca

McKnight, who went above and beyond in caring for Mrs. Campbell as her health began to decline.

 

The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff at Nacogdoches Medical Center for their kindness and care.
