Owner says new Nacogdoches waterpark, Timber Falls should be open in two weeks

The owner of the new Nacogdoches waterpark says Splash Kingdom will hopefully be open in two weeks.

Johnny Blevins says they’ve lost 60 days of work time due to rain. Most of the concrete work is complete on the park located on North University Drive.

Timber Falls will feature pools, a waterfall and 40-foot slides, beach volleyball, a 20-foot treehouse, picnic areas, rental cabanas, adult hot tub, lazy river and snack bar.

Timber Falls is scheduled to be open until September, from 11 a.m. to 6 or 7 p.m. each day.

About 50,000 people are expected to visit the park this year.
