Joaquin City Council to meet this evening

The Joaquin City Council will have a regular meeting at 6 p.m. tonight and among the agenda items will be the appointment to fill the vacant city council seat of Mayor Bill Baker, discussion on Dub Alford meter removal and hearing concerns from Doug Shook about drainage issues and agenda construction.

 

In addition, council will take action to remove former Mayor Mike Wood and former City Secretary Donna Marshall-Fitzgerald from the Improvement of Sewer Plant Stand Pipe Project & Wastewater Plant Load and add Mayor Bill Baker and City Secretary Amanda Willey.

 

Joaquin Council is scheduled to hear from Wayne Swan concerning the Paxton/Jackson Water Supply, possible action on utility rate increase and increasing the limit on the Visa card, apply for a new corporate card and Exxon gas card.

 

The council meeting will be preceded by the Joaquin Economic Development Corporation meeting at 5 p.m. and the Joaquin Public Safety Corporation meeting at 5:30 p.m. Among the agenda items on the Public Safety Corporation is the expenditure of extra funds on fire department expenses.
