Mrs. Katherine (Birdwell) Walker, age 94, of San Augustine, passed from this life on Friday morning, June 12, 2015, in San Augustine.

Katherine was born to Frances (Murray) Birdwell and Patrick Henry Birdwell on June 26, 1920, in San Augustine County, Texas. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and fiend. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Those who are left to cherish her memory include, Her loving daughters, Linda Best and her husband, Marvin of Hudson; Kathryn Skinner and her husband, Jerry of Weatherford and Charlotte Mancil and her husband, James of San Augustine; Her beloved grandchildren, Cheri; Mark; Rushia; Britain; Starla; April; Brad; Blake and all their spouses; 17 great-grandchildren; Brother, Murry Birdwell of San Augustine, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Patrick Birdwell; Her loving husband, Billy Walker, her beloved grandson, Jason Gandy; great-grandchild, Haley Evans, and all her siblings.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Leo Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Macune Cemetery in San Augustine County, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday evening, June 14, 2015, from the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wyman Robert Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas 75972.
