Who are the Biggest Losers of Weight in Shelby County?

After 12 weeks of setting weight loss goals, learning to prepare and eat healthy and tasty meals, participating in daily fitness activities, supporting each other through ups and downs and many, many “five-highs,” the 68 biggest losers of weight in Extension’s Step Up, Scale Down program were recognized, and the top three winners of weight loss were announced on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the historic Shelby County courthouse.  All total, the group lost an astounding 361 pounds.

County Treasurer Ann Blackwell presented the top three losers of weight with their certificates of achievement and prizes.  The first place winner with 15.0% weight loss was Triquina “Tee” Polley.  She was awarded a check of $750 and a one-year membership to All Hours Fitness along with gift certificates from Oceano Spa and Applebee’s.  The second place winner with 12.4% weight loss was Debbie Nickerson.  She was awarded a check of $500 and a gift certificate to Lasting Impressions.  The third place winner was Sherri Felder with a 9.2% weight loss.  She was awarded a check of $250 and a gift certificate from The Loft.
