Body of Huntington man pulled from Lake Sam Rayburn following boating accident

Texas Parks & Wildlife dive team recovered the body of a Huntington man Sunday morning after a boat he and his brother were in capsized Saturday night due to a large wave.

The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. when Henry Dale Plummer and 53-year old Little Jack Lieb went into Lake Sam Rayburn.

The two were reportedly running trotlines when the boat capsized some 300 yards off the bank in the Lazy Acres subdivision off FM 483 in Nacogdoches County.

Plummer was able to swim to a nearby swamp where he was rescued.

Lieb’s body was found some 28 feet underwater in less than 10 minutes of searching Sunday morning.

Neither were said to be wearing life jackets.
