A 35-year old San Augustine County man was arrested and charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter relating to a motorcycle accident that took the life of a Lufkin woman in San Augustine County in January.

Jail records indicate 35-year old Joshua Myers of Bronson was arrested April 23 for a crash that occurred on FM 705 on Jan. 11 that killed Ashley McLemore.

DPS accident report says Myers was driving a Yamaha motorcycle with McLemore as the passenger that went off the road and crashed. Neither person was wearing a helmet.

It’s reported both were taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment, with McLemore passing away in the ER.
