High-speed chase of stolen vehicle results in driver wrecking, fleeing last night

A high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle reached speeds of 100 mph on U.S. Hwy. 96 north of Center last night and then onto a county road before the suspect wrecked out and fled.

 

DPS Trooper Jade Lavergne attempted to stop a Ford Expedition near Tenaha around 10:15 p.m. when the driver refused.

 

The pursuit turned onto County Road 4360 in the Cedar Yard community near Center Country Club, then onto CR 4293 where the vehicle wrecked.

 

The driver fled the scene, while Trooper Lavergne apprehended an occupant.
