According to Shirley Brittain, the 10th annual Relay For Life, a major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will be held May 15th.

Preceding this event will be a catered dinner celebrating cancer survivors. Anyone that has received any type of cancer diagnosis is considered to be a survivor from the time of the diagnosis.

The event will be held Saturday, April 25th at the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Center from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

Any cancer survivor is welcome that would like to attend but you will need to RSVP due to it being catered and we will need to know how many to prepare for.

You’re asked to wear the color that represents your cancer diagnosis. If you are not sure of the color, Ms. Brittain said she would be glad to help you with your color when you call to RSVP. Ms. Brittain said they are requesting this as it fits in with the theme of the program for that night.
