In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Rainbow Room Volubteers will again sponsor a "Blue Ribbon Tree."

Participants will tie a blue ribbon on the tree for each confirmed victim of abuse or neglect in Shelby County during the past year.

Also, a small cross will be placed at the base of the tree as a remembrance of those children who died as a result of their injuries.

The public is invited to attend the brief ceremony which will take place on Thursday, April 2nd at 4:30pm on the southeast corner of the Historic Courthouse square.
