Fire destroys Timpson home Sunday morning

A Timpson family lost their home in a pre-dawn blaze early Sunday morning.

 

Timpson Volunteer Fire Department personnel tell us they responded to find the double-wide mobile home of Bud Hendricks on Rose Hill Road already engulfed in flames around 5 a.m.

 

The fire was reported to have started in the kitchen area, with occupants attempting to knock-down the flames with a water hose and fire extinguisher with no success before fireman arrived.

 

The Tenaha Volunteer Fire Dept. responded with water assistance.

 

The origin of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.

 

Firemen returned to the fire station by 8 a.m.
