TxDOT announces temporary ramp closures in Tenaha starting Tuesday

TxDOT officials announced today temporary ramp closures on U.S. 59/ U.S. 84 and the U.S. 96 interchange near Tenaha while contractors, Moore Brothers Construction, works to mill and inlay the outside lanes near the exit and entrance ramps.

The work will require periodic ramp closures and will move to various locations along U.S. 59/U.S. 84 to the U.S. 96 intersection. Ramp closures are expected to begin Tuesday and will take two days, weather permitting.

Motorists should be aware of the closures and be prepared to slow their driving in and near the construction. Message boards will be set up in the area to help alert motorists of alternate exits and /or entrances.

Motorists are reminded to watch for workers in the area and be ready for slowing vehicles ahead of them. Traffic fines increase while workers are present in a work zone.
