The Center Roughrider Varsity Boys Basketball team claimed the Bi-District Championship on Tuesday, February 24th against the Jasper Bulldogs.

Led by Sophomore, Octavious Evans who scored 25 points for the night, the Riders confidently marched to victory.

With a tied score at the end of the first period, the Riders quickly made adjustments and went into halftime with a defining lead over the Bulldogs, 44-25.

The second half was a clear and decisive on behalf of the Riders. They outscored Jasper in the third 20-5 and in the fourth 24-20, closing the game at 88-50, Riders.

The Roughriders will advance to the next round of play on Friday, Feb. 27th against Mexia. The game will be in Jacksonville ISD gymnasium (formerly Lon Morris College
gym) and tip off will be at 7 PM.
