So far we’ve avoided freezing temperatures and frozen precipitation across Deep East Texas and Western Louisiana. No problems at this time with roadways. The National Weather Service cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory around 10:30 p.m. as rain left the area and temperatures stayed above freezing. Today, may be a different story, we’re forecast to have freezing rain and sleet with temperatures just above freezing. Tonight, that precipitation is to continue with temperatures dropping to the upper 20s. Ice accumulations are expected to be as much as two-tenths of an inch today and a tenth tonight, with a half-inch of sleet today and then again tonight. The National Weather Service has re-issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 p.m. tonight in anticipation of today’s precipitation.
